| Yes total anxiety. The biggest risk tonight is cars. Pay attention to that. |
OP I’m sympathetic because I’m more stressed about the cars which is a more realistic issue I guess but I feel like I’m the psycho mom every year making my elementary school aged kids follow regular safety rules (walk on the grass not the road, cross at cross walks, stay with the group) while I see other parents drinking and barely watching while their kids run through the roads. I think they are going to far in relaxing but I get stressed out every year and get upset with my kid who gets hyper and does stupid stuff (one has ADHD and is just bananas with all the excitement) so I am not sure I’m any better. I keep trying to be calmer and kinder while I keep my kids safe and I fail every year. So don’t be like me- try to find a middle ground. |
| Rules for trick or treating: You check the candy for anything weird or open before your kids eat it. Bring a flashlight or something that lights up because cars are a far bigger concern than adulterated candy. |
Arsenic is not though boo |
This is why Trunk or Treat events, or just Halloween at home, are preferable. |
