What happened to Colby?

Visited all 3. DC liked Colby, hands down. Great athletic facilities, DC talked with the coach and found him the best coach among all. Found Bates ugly and Bowdoin uppity. Will be EDing Colby.

I'm not a Colby parent, but I'd like to be. It's a fantastic school with awesome facilities, a beautiful location, and great academics.

This. Colby was well known for playing the USNWR rankings game. And they played it very well.

Revised USNWR criteria are truly ridiculous. But Colby never should have been in any national top ten list. I'm guessing the Colby admissions office is busily working to find and admit every Pell Grant student they can somehow lure to Maine! They will continue to play this game, even if the rules are now absurd.

You both should read the USNWR ranking criteria. Acceptance rate is not a factor.

+1, most elite liberal arts college, followed by Haverford

This entire thread is a joke. Haverford is good, but it is not the second best liberal arts college. Like PP mentioned, it’s around T10.

HACK (Haverford, Amherst, Colby, Kenyon) schools are the best lacs out there. You might not be in the know if you aren’t used to LACS.

This. The new methodology is dumb. I hope USNWR is on its way to oblivion.

Why are you threatened by the best LACs in the country?

Pomona and Swarthmore are good quality colleges, no one would deny that, but they aren't HACK
