OP - I would say people's livelihoods are at stake in a lot of the matters DH deals with. He does a lot of mergers and acquisitions and also large government contracts work. If something goes wrong a plant will get shut down or a company will not get funding and then people will get laid off. Stuff like that. But obviously it is not life or death (directly).

There's a ton of pressure in criminal defense at a high level.
