How much you think it’ll go for

Show respect...Madame secretary Madeleine Albright!

I’m early middle-aged, and I’d buy that house at least partially furnished, if I had the funds. The carpets are an easy fix. I’d ditch the wicker furniture, too.

Agree. House needs a major update. History and property maybe make it worth that much but I wouldn’t want to spend $4 mil and then renovate.

House has great bones, furnishings and carpets are quite dated.

She was married to a Guggenheim relative, and served as chair of a global business consulting firm for twenty years.

Why? She was awful

She is not Maddy, to anyone.

OP thought she was being cute and edgy by calling her Maddy. She was neither.

It was in her role as U.N. ambassador in 1996 that Albright uttered the most infamous words of her career, in an appearance on “60 Minutes.”

The show’s correspondent Lesley Stahl asked Albright about the effect that U.N. sanctions were having on Iraqi society, saying, “We have heard that a half-million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?”

Albright responded with chilling equanimity: “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price — we think the price is worth it.”

Also, her whole self made thing was a myth. She was married to a Guggenheim relative (so connected and powerful), dabbled, fundraised and presto entered the workforce full time in the ripe middle age at super high positions and never looked back.

She forgot she was Jewish until the Post wrote an article — the article is quite something:

She talked about her heritage a lot in her memoir. I believe that she didn’t know.

I can't believe how ignorant people are here on this page. I lived through her "legacy". read and learn. https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2022/3/25/lets-remember-madeleine-albright-as-who-she-really-was
