Dress code for everyone but Senators

Anonymous
It's comical to see Republicans clutching pearls over a dress code for the Capitol when they had absolutely no problem with this:

This is just pathetic and a joke of a politician:

You’d really send a clown like that to represent the United States if he ever had to meet counterparts abroad? Just an absolute decline of civilization in the United States. It’s sad and pathetic we really have to demand more from our leaders to wear trailer park trash outfits consisting of hoodies and gym shorts at work.

Keep clutching those pearls, Brunch Granny!

The Republican elites are showing their true colors on this thread. Taking a big shit on the working man.

You are no doubt one of the many DCUM fashion critics on the thread about "Trump women and their fashion mishaps."
His hoodie and shorts are not appropriate attire for the office. Most bosses in a professional setting would have HR sit down with him to explain how to dress appropriately.

His attire is fine. My boss (a private equity executive) once showed up to a closing in jeans and t-shirt. He was writing a $100 million check. It does. Not. Matter. It only matters for people without actual power who are beholden to others.

LOL. "The working man." You say it like he is laboring in the field... where his attire may be more appropriate.
This guy is a Senator. He should dress like one.

He’s a senator and you’re not. When you’re elected to office you can wear a ball gown to work every day. Until then sit down.

Yes, he is a Senator. Not an mechanic or some laborer.

Just sad. Put on pants at least? Not gym shorts.

US is a declining S hole. Next they’ll wear sandals and smoke weed in the office.

I could care less about the attire of our congressional men and women. What I do care about is a Federal Government that is being run efficiently and effectively. I'll take a nudist colony on Capitol Hill made up of hardworking folks that put the people they are supposed to represent ahead of party and self over the mostly self-centered, divisive crowd of well dressed hooligans we have somehow been duped into electing.

If I was a senator I would show up every day in a different t-shirt or sweatshirt from a home state college or university. Might as well use the opportunity to show your loyalty to your state.
