In most typical blended family circumstances, the mothers have met each other's kids and usually the mothers have also met in an effort to be cordial. That is normal.

It's is highly abnormal for one mother to ban the other mother from ever meeting her children, particularly when the kids of different mothers spend a lot of time together. That's actually very crazy and borderline abusive.

She complained on her tweet that she’s never been allowed to see a picture of the kids until that moment. She doesn’t have that right and it’s a petty gripe if she has other legitimate concerns.

It's not a "petty gripe" when her own son is spending significant amounts of time with those other kids and the other mother. Especially not "petty" if Elon is violating the custody agreement and not returning her son to her custody, as she alleges.

The point of her Tweet was not to complain about a picture, but rather to rhetorically point out she has never met the other family with whom her own son spends significant amount - let alone even see a picture of the kids playing together. Are you really this dense?

No but he is very powerful. I've known couples with less of a power imbalance where the less wealthy partner decided to call it off because they didn't like not being on an equal footing with their partner.

Those who enter these relationships should absolutely make sure their partner is trustworthy, because like Grimes, it will be very unlikely that they will be treated fairly if something goes wrong. Money talks.

Grimes has had a lot of her own personal struggles with mental health and drugs and doing strange treatments. At one point she had said she was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder (schizophrenia plus a mood disorder) but now she says that was misdiagnosed and she has ASD.

Elon Musk being an idiot doesn't mean that Grimes is in a stable or healthy state herself.

Elon has ASD as well so I doubt these sitautions with the two of them will ever be socially finessed

I don’t think there’s evidence that Elon is abusive but it is weird to me how he is viewed so differently from Nick Cannon. They both seem like terrible fathers and Elon has the estranged daughter to back it up. Elon also seems extremely messy in his personal life so the grimes thing is unsurprising. Cheating with amber heard and Sergei Brin’s ex, messy divorce from his first wife, marrying and divorcing the same woman, having a bunch of babies at the same time. Plus the rumors of him being a eugenicist. This is not someone people should be fawning over
