Do you clean up before bed every night?

On rare occasion I leave dishes in the sink but as a general rule I prefer to wake up to a clean sink with at most some dishes on the drying rack to be put away.

It’s good to start each day with a clean slate. That said, I have spent the last several months going through various projects which have meant piles of various stuff on my kitchen table most of the summer. I’m making progress and piles are going away or being organized and stored or whatever, so that’s okay. I have a firm deadline in mind for when I need my table clear and accessible again and I plan to make the deadline.

Not really. I put away any food that can attract bugs before bed. Dishes are done when I have time but it doesn’t bother me to leave overnight. Blankets on the couch are only put away when we have guests coming over. Laundry is folded when I want to watch something on tv while I fold. After parties, I do what I can but need a good nights sleep. I’ll feel better and do a better job the next morning when well rested.

No, I’m terrible in the evening at doing anything. But, I’m a good sleeper. So life is full of trade offs and I clean in the morning.

Always. I have to have everything put away, pillows fluffed on the couch, things in order before I go to bed. I can’t imagine waking up to a chaotic house and feeling fine about it.

Always. Sink is empty, dishwasher set, counters clear and wiped, blankets folded, clutter away. My DH and I consider these "closing duties." Doing it well is how you show respect to the person (in this case future us) who "opens" in the morning.
We live in a two bedroom condo and the kitchen/dining/living area is all one big space. If it isn't cleaned up the night before then mornings are stressful.
