And I suppose if you moved to a new country and there was a school called Institute des Macaroni and Cheese you would love for your kid to enroll?

Your kid's future should not be dictated by your past.

Your husband needs to realize that his interpretation is not valid in his new environment. anything else is unfair to your child.

Thanks for your concern. Amazingly, were able to find colleges that didn’t have a side dish in their name.

Meanwhile, Texas has it’s Aggies. While mocking them is standard practice, it’s done with affection and underlying respect.

Aggies is the mascot. Like Terps, Crimson Tide, etc. "Yalie", "Smithie" etc. is different.

Same with Hokie and Wahoo. Not the school nickname - ya dolts!

I’ve never understood Hokie or Hoya.

I’m immature. I cannot image ever cheering for the University of South Carolina.

No longer the Wilson School so nobody does this anymore.

Not to mention it was always just a name for WWS insiders. It’s not like anyone was pushing that name on the general public. And now it’s SIPA, which is just generic.

Don’t worry, you’ll get a chance to get a ring if you manage to graduate from high school. Hang in there! I know you can do it!
