For 29s. Probably about 40-45 kids. 60ish percent wearing ML helmets. The rest were mostly white blank helmets with a couple VLC and True helmets mixed in. From what I know of the team, most of best players from the capital team were not there. Most likely already had offers in hand.

Any reports on the turnout for ML spring tryouts? Wondering if the numbers are still dropping particularly for 28-30s.

I was there and there were tons of players. like them or not, the beautiful thing about MadLax is that they always replenish.

Madlax is a necessary evil, no other club program on the Virginia side of the river that consistently places kids onto D1 lacrosse rosters. VLC, Top Caliber, Hammers, True, Team Virginia, Blackwolf, Hard Lax have each had some talented teams, but consistent success has eluded them.

It appears that the DMV 28 team is reforming- I would say that the rumors of ML’s demise have been greatly exaggerated

Madlax DMV 2028 is playing in Hoco B this spring, the fifth division out of five. God bless those boys for playing and I understand they're doing it because they're having fun, but using this team as evidence of an ML resurgence wouldn't be accurate.

The top ML team is the Capital team, for 2028 they'll be playing Elite. We'll see how they do, they lost a ton of great players but I'm sure they picked up some guys. I don't see them making the playoffs but a 2 or 3 win season in the spring would be pretty good IMO. Last season of Hoco so after this will only be summer tourneys and the occasional fall playday.

Where is the 28 team reloading from? Top Caliber? Hammers? True? Since there's no 28 VLC team anymore.

CM will bring kids in from all over for this team as he has done for awhile - probably more this spring than in years past but same old same old.
