Jennifer Lawrence in "No Hard Feelings"

I watched it because some people on here said they laughed out loud while watching.

It was not funny. I barely cracked a smile. And I thought the writing and acting sucked.

Agreed. Not sure why people liked it so much.

Probably because she bares all.

Because it's *funny* - not because it's prurient. I'm a straight woman and laughed so hard at this movie. Sometimes it just feels good to laugh.

That was so hilarious and they offered to not have her bare all but she thought it was hilarious.

It’s about as sexy as Will Farrell naked.

Oh my god when they were hitting her with the fish or whatever,? And she came storming out of the water. Hilarious!!

Agree. I really like her in most movies. Also like this genre of comedy, but this movie sucks and I had to stop after 30 min. Fast forwarded through the rest at 8x speed so make sure wasn’t missing anything.

I laughed several times. Not THE funniest movie ever, but still pretty damn funny.

This stuck out to me the most. What is it? Too much botox?

I guess I’m old at 43 because I did not find it funny. I really wanted to laugh and enjoy it.

Yes, I think so. Or maybe she had eye surgery. Her eyes appear a little more open and fuller. She looks odd.

I'm 55 and found it unexpectedly funny.

Anonymous wrote:Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti are helicopter parents who want to make sure their awkward 19-year-old boy sows his wild oats before starting college. So they place a Craigslist ad seeking a hot woman to seduce their son that summer and take his virginity. Hot, broke Uber driver Jennifer Lawrence answers the ad. Hilarity ensues:

“I read it, and I thought, ‘This is wild. Who is the woman that answers this ad?'” (Director Gene) Stupnitsky said. “And I thought, ‘Oh, that’ll be a great role for my friend Jennifer Lawrence.'”

“Gene read the Craigslist ad to me, and I died laughing,” Lawrence added. “I thought it was hilarious, but there wasn’t a script or anything. I just thought he had a funny idea. And then a couple years later, he handed me the funniest script I’ve ever read in my life.”

Why would the director think his good friend Jennifer Lawrence is perfect for the role of a woman entirely willing to enter into a transactional relationship where she predates on a young man and changes his life for the better? What makes him think his friend would be comfortable being portrayed as the predator in a sexualized relationship?

Have we fully cancelled all acting? I knew it was close, just didn’t know we were there yet. Thanks.
