He was great!
Reminded me of a very young Andrew McCarthy. I hope we'll see him in lots more.
I can see that!
It was cast really well, I liked the parents dressed in linen too with so much love and concern. The overly cautious boy is playing by the book and his dad is concerned it doesn't align with his experience. I was warned not to watch because it was messed up but I really didn't see anything wrong with the comedy. The point was how messed up it was, not condoning sex workers (although the PC parents did note they don't look down on it lol). The whole thing was funny, except JLaw didn't seem that old to me until she showed up at the party where actual young people were cast as college students and she did look like someone's mom showed up.
Oh gosh the parents' whole thing was perfection - their clothes, their concern that the kid wasn't having enough fun or getting outside of his comfort zone (we had such a different time growing up, as Gen X!, for better and worse).
It made me laugh so hard - and made me really miss when we had lots of funny comedies coming out all the time.
