How could any community choose her as their representative?? Who would hire her for ANYTHING, let alone making public policy????

I have often thought that in deeply ignorant and conservative regions of the US, where it's shameful to have mental health issues, and impossible for most of the population to be even aware that their symptoms are indicative of mental health issues... they self-medicate with drugs, alcohol, etc.

So this man perhaps has severe ADHD, which is why he's an alcoholic and has trouble controlling his impulses, including taking potshots at everything that moves near his property and exposing himself... and he's raising 4 sons, some of whom have gotten into trouble, perhaps also because they have impulse issues due to undiagnosed and untreated ADHD.

But they will also fight against all Medicare expansion, more affordable healthcare, better education and mental health services, etc, because they were raised to believe that weakness is shameful, ADHD doesn't exist, boys will be boys, and everything can be resolved by taking potshots at things, yelling and waving guns about.

They're hurting themselves and they're proud to do so.

Umm, are you suggesting that anyone married to Lauren Boebert has not “put up with a lot” as well? They are both terrible people. Her statement was quite odd - asserting that she had been faithful is a weird way to announce a divorce.

Believe it or not, in my experience, the people whom the phrase is typically directed at are not offended by it. They see it as a point of pride. They also are not offended by the term “flyover.”
