Why are so many liberals so anxious to allow millions of migrants enter illegally into our country, then support them with housing and food, education, and medical services when we don't even do this for our homeless population?

I do not support illegal immigration, but those citizens are mostly homeless due to mental health issues. The humane way to treat them would be institutionalization.

Agree, along with the homeless junkies and tweakers. Institutionalization, and if they are able to be cleaned up and rehabilitated, they can rejoin society.

But again, the reason this doesn't happen is because of Republicans and they lousy "no free sh*t for moochers" attitude.

Much cheaper to build and run a 1000 bed institution in rural America than in a city. And, most communities in rural America could use the jobs it would provide.

Completely wrong. We know that because of what happens when you build prisons in rural areas. The prisoners get released into those areas & wreak havoc.

Rural America does not want your failed policies. And they will make that very clear!

Rural America is already failed. And anything you want to "make clear" with your gun will land you in prison or 6 feet under.

Your inner cities, where people kill each other like feral savages on a daily basis, are already failed.

Dude. Get out of your mom's basement and get some fresh air.

Yeah no one who would staff a reservation? concentration camp? prison? wants to live in a low COL area.

Yes, so many social workers, doctors, nurses and therapists are chomping at the bit to live in bumf*ck nowhere to provide services.

You clearly haven't been following the trend that started with COVID of workers wanting to live in more affordable areas.

Asheville and Charlottesville are not “affordable.”

Funny given that half of my parents' neighbors where they live in rural PA work for the prison and it's one of the best jobs around.

They should be sent somewhere that has cheap real estate and low cost of living but also capacity to build up services to support them.

Anything else would be a massively inefficient and wasteful use of what limited resources exist for dealing with it.

LOL. Your idea is to send them to areas where people live who voted precisely against Biden’s immigration agenda. Don’t worry, people in such areas tend to take self-defense into their own hands. Extrajudicial punishment. Rural residents will treat illegal aliens like the criminals they are.

Go right ahead and do that, and you can take the place of an illegal behind bars.

People who who would shoot someone for pulling into the wrong driveway would go to a war against illegals before they’d ever get near a prison.

So if they won't get near a prison I guess that means they instead plan to die in a shootout with police, because that's the only other alternative. Really, why does America indulge insane nutjobs like the American far right?

Where do you think police live? What do you think their political views are, on average?

Doesn't matter. If homegrown vigilantes are running around assassinating and executing people just for being migrants and the local police does absolutely nothing about it, your little community will fast become famous, and not in a good way. And, bankrupt as a result of lawsuits and much else.

You’re wrong.

I'm not at all wrong, but you're definitely psychopathic and delusional if you think you can just hunt down and kill anyone you suspect of being here illegally and face no consequences for it.

This is whataboutism and concern trolling. It's fundamentally dishonest to talk about "what about our own homeless" unless you're actually willing to do something about them, which you aren't.

No. It is absolutely NOT whataboutism.
The people who are being given government-funded housing, food, transportation, medical services, etc. etc. etc. ARE NOT US CITIZENS AND DID NOT ENTER THIS COUNTRY LEGALLY.
Why in the hell are our tax dollars going to support these people when we have actual citizens who could use the resources we are providing for these people?
WTH is wrong with this picture??????

Why haven't you cared about the veterans for all these years? And if you are so upset about migrants being given a place to stay while they await their hearing then why haven't you cared enough to demand your members of Congress provide resources to hire more judges to speed up the process of deporting the 90% who don't meet asylum criteria?

Oh, that is a fantastic idea! Send them to India, China, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras. Whatever country they came from. They will be able to find a much lower cost of living and presumably speak the language!

Yes, a majority of them should be sent back because they do not legitimately meet criteria as refugees or asylees. We should also work hard to counter the disinformation being spread by dishonest organizations that are making false guarantees and promises to them. The cartels, for once, who have made the coyote business an industry, fueled by false promises even to people ineligible for asylum.

I'm saying you are spending far too much time in online right wing circle jerks, and nowhere near enough time out in the real world. You're disconnected from reality. My neighborhood here in DC is definitely thriving.

DC is certainly thriving better than many other parts of America are.

Doesn’t exist.

Plenty of places in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas type places. My God, everyone gets waterfront nowadays? Weren't the migrants throwing out fresh packaged meals because they deemed those meals "not good enough"? I mean, I would love to stay at a hotel for free - free cable, free pool, free maid service......

None of those places want your illegal immigrants.
