No.  It is absolutely NOT whataboutism. 
The people who are being given government-funded housing, food, transportation, medical services, etc. etc. etc. ARE NOT US CITIZENS AND DID NOT ENTER THIS COUNTRY LEGALLY.  
Why in the hell are our tax dollars going to support these people when we have actual citizens who could use the resources we are providing for these people?

Why haven't you cared about the veterans for all these years?   And if you are so upset about migrants being given a place to stay while they await their hearing then why haven't you cared enough to demand your members of Congress provide resources to hire more judges to speed up the process of deporting the 90% who don't meet asylum criteria?[/quote]
