Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
| 13:44 here, The brand is something like "Eating Right" and it's in a white box with green lettering. They are in the section with the Weight Watchers since they're individual portions. I like the grilled chicken and vegetables (zucchini, yellow squash, etc) on a bed of pasta. Enjoy! |

Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but I like Silver Diner for when I just can't stand the thought of cooking. It has a ton of kids sides - including healthy ones - for something like 99 cents. I think it has kids meals for just a couple of dollars (depending on what you get) And it has healthy options for adults. Not to metion a juke box at every table (my son still thinks if he hits the buttons and hears music that he choose the song). It's not really fast food, but it certainly isn't slow either. While you could spend a lot there, if you choose wisely, you could spend very little. They have blue plate specials before 6pm (cheaper meals). And their salads, soups, and sandwiches are pretty inexpensive.
Our favorite take out is Super Pollo (charbroiled chicken). We get the full chicken with two sides (about $14), but you could probably even get away with buying one "meal" (a piece or two of chicken and sides). With the full meal, we always have leftovers. I supplement with making my own rice so I can choose two, harder-to-make, sides (I have a rice cooker with a timer - so minimal effort) Trade Joes is also a good place for frozen meals. |
