Most school shooters are mentally stable enough to legally buy their guns. |
I remember that. But the last big incident was the murder of a man selling marijuana at the Trader Joe's on Wisconsin. There's a "group home" in Bethesda. Those young men are sent to Whitman. Special education. Three of them murdered someone over some weed. But it says a lot that it's all but forgotten - "not real Whitman kids." |
Well, it didn’t happen at the school and, no, these kids are not typical Whitman students. |
Oh, I know, it's so scary these days! However, the bigger problem at the segregated schools seems to be the neverending hate crime incidents people post about, like antisemitism. |
|
What?! So these kids attended Whitman then murdered someone? They lived at a special home? Why were they enrolled at Whitman?
When I was a teenager, the Twain center at Whitman had the worst behaved kids that had been kicked out of other schools. Is that still around and are mcps problems transferred to Whitman? Is it the dumping ground for problem kids? |
These are kids at the Greentree center. They are inbounds for Whitman so that's where they go to school. Most are very short term - a few months at most. And most are at a 9th grade or below level, even if they are 18, and generally not in mainstream classes. The school welcomes these kids and tries hard to work with them. They have generally had rough lives. Where would you suggest these kids go to school? |
