We ended up having our neighbors over slightly impromptu. Which was great because I was able to justify the small Trader Joe’s leg of lamb. So:

Shrimp and grits (NYT Julia Reed). I have never made this before and it was SO good.
Butterflied leg of lamb with lemon salsa verde (NYT Melissa Clark). This was so good and the salsa verde is truly amazing
Broccoli and hollandaise
Biscuits

Whole Foods individual tarts and cookies. DH asked how I decided which ones to buy; my response: I didn’!

It was a little hedonistic but so, so good.

Debating between ham and baked ziti.

Baked ziti on Easter? I’d go for a ham.

Who wouldn’t rather eat baked ziti than ham?
