His father would be ashamed of where the country is now.

In a post-Trump America with rising white nationalism and religious fundamentalism and Maga idiocy, he sure would be.

You have no idea who Kennedy was.

He was a Harvard educated wealthy pious Catholic cultured liberal who quoted the ancient Greeks, was philosophical and well-read, and came to a midlife realization that his calling was to help the poor and the downtrodden and to fight against injustice, especially racial injustice. Coarse and boorish Trump would have been anathema to him. MAGA would have called him a coastal elitist.

Oh? Here’s his platform. Doesn’t sound like Trump to any sentient person.

“He has guided more important legislation through Congress than did any of his predecessors in the past 30 years. He has made the Federal Government, for the first time, a vigorous enemy of organized crime. He has pushed equal rights for all Americans..."
“We must reform the flagrant tax loopholes which enable too many Americans to escape their fair share of the cost of shaping our nation's destiny.”
“We must close the gaps between black and white, rich and poor, young and old in this country and around the world.”
“Government must join in a partnership with industry, permitting private enterprise to help solve the problems of housing and unemployment in our deprived areas."
“We will reestablish our domestic tranquility only when we resume our march toward full constitutional justice -- so that every American citizen has a fair chance at a job and an education and a decent place to live."

He was a philandering narcissist, just like all the Kennedy men.

His father, the Don of the Kennedy dynasty, was a criminal mobster.

Being a philanderer doesn’t necessarily make you a lousy politician

Why? He is crazy,!

Kids don’t - and never did - need the Covid vaccine.

+ 1 Y'all cain't take away mah freedom.

He was big on the autism vaccine lie. He’s a twit who rides on the coattails of relatives.

I am really uncomfortable reading all these attacks on him, most seemingly having to do with his vaccine opinions.

We’ve got enough hindsight and distance now to look back on the vaccines (developed under Trump, btw) to be able to honestly admit there were some real problems and real dangers with those vaccines. The fact they trump cooked them up is all you need to know to be skeptical of them.

But it is really, really not cool to be attacking a Kennedy like this. Not cool at all. All of you should be ashamed.

You aren’t paying attention. I don’t even know what he thinks about the Covid vaccine. He is anti regular old childhood vaccines.

Oh come on, it's a little cool. Don't you think it's a little cool? Seriously, be honest.

I generally like the Kennedys but Harvard has played a big role in giving us the most awful lawyers and government officials. I wouldn’t use that education to defend him. Plus, his essay in its entirety was basically “I’d like the status please” and it worked. Harvard has screwed our country over many times.

Screw you and your lame dynasty-worship. This Kennedy is looney-tunes and does not belong in office.

Support a better candidate.

?? How is it "defending" him with by citing Harvard? This is simply the truth. He went to Harvard. And also UVA (law). PP who said "You have no idea who Kennedy was" apparently didn't know who who he was. And who he was is exactly described above. It is not "defending" him or castigating him. It is simply his background.
