What’s so bad about that?

I don't get this one either. I *hate* the team dinners, they're loud, disorganized, take forever, inevitably bad food, etc.

Well it’s not about you. The kids like it.

Our baseball coach yelled at my son, “Larlo, what were you thinking??? The play was on second!!!” My son was 4.

During a little girls all star soccer match, the opposing coach was ejected.

Think it might have been a Loudoun team?

^^^^ maybe Coach Brunetto or Brunetti?

Something like that. A real piece of work.

Guy who had a kindergartener on swim team. We had an away meet and the ledge was higher than at our pool and the little guy was freaked out and didn’t want to swim. Dad picked him up and threw him in the pool. What a jerk!

During a softball tournament the girl who just hit a single and was stopped at first, threw up. The first base coach kicked dirt on it and pretended like it didn't just happen because he didn't want her to have to leave the game. She did end up leaving the game. The girls were 7 so this wasn't exactly high stakes.

Dad heavily involved in volunteer side of our sport, often overstepped his volunteer duties (control freak style). Always rubbed me and many others, including kids wrong, always keeping an eye on him.

Without gory details, he is in jail. Worst of the worst.

We did a mini vacation to Hershey for President's Day weekend. There was some kind of kids hockey tournament. The hockey kids were so rude. They were playing hockey in the hallway, constantly cutting in line and pushing kids out of the way or the arcade and the pool and screaming about how they had won some game at the restaurant. The parents were all busy getting drunk and partying and barely paying attention to their children

York Devils 10U mascot mom from hell. During games she'll taunt and heckle kids. She flipped off the opposing teams kids, yelled profanities at them, blew them kisses. She even encouraged their kids to mess up kids on the opposing team for hockey cards. She is truly disgusting and a disgrace to that club.

Most obnoxious parents I've seen were with a girls soccer team, moms and dads. There is this period of time where girls have hit a growth spurt (~u12/u11) and are much bigger on average than all the boys and their teams play in boys leagues.

Usually the girls parents are just super into it, much more than the boys parents (which is cool). One time though DS played a girls team that just fouled constantly. The ref was ancient and barely moved and called nothing. The parents were baying for blood, laughing every time one of the boys went down and calling for the girls to take out players.

It was infuriating and I yelled at their parents... not proud of that.

The team filed (the one and only time in 6+ years) a complaint with the state association against the ref.

If this is the worst sports story you’ve ever seen, you must live in a bubble or your kids are like, toddler-aged.

It is if the parents have to go. ANd not all kids like it.

Saw a mom go on an unhinged rant - including repeated F bombs - during a pre-team swim event (think 5 and 6 year olds). I think she thought the teenage assistant coach wasn’t paying enough attention to her child? Just bizarre.
