Ramaswamy talks out of both sides of his mouth and cannot be trusted. I am not impressed at all.

Kamala Harris - Never liked her.

None of these people exhibit any special statesmen like qualities, run of the mill politicians, but then again that’s true for the entire field. Totally disappointed in 2024 lineup.

They are all politicians. At some point, you just take what you can get and move on in life.

Interesting? What should we know about how their background informs their world view?

Why the f*ck you are singling Indian ethnicity people on ethnically Indian candidates?

What about the world view of other candidates from other ethnicities? Did you think Chris Christie or Desantis dropped from heaven or you already know the world view of people of their ethnicities?

There was another thread about Italian Americans and why they have been unsuccessful presidential candidates .

A lot of literature exists on this actually

Never vote for racists. Indians are the most racist group in America

Ever see an African American at the Indian companies? Never will

The Sacramento kings are owned by an Indian American and hire lots of African Americans and pay them millions of dollars

Your post is super racist. Lots of well known companies are headed by Indians. Microsoft, Google, etc. And they employ black people. The double standard on race is insane, that you can say things like this.

Exceptionalism and Merit seem to be his focus, and I will gladly applaud his efforts. Chances are no one else will.

I would if merit were real, but it isn't. Merit means everyone gets the same chance and opportunity to compete, which they don't. Merit means there is no more legacy or athletics special treatment. America thrives on special treatment and calls it merit.

In America, "having merit" and being a "self-made millionaire" means having a multi-million dollar real estate empire handed to you by your daddy - right Donald Trump?
In America, "having merit" means being "self made" thanks to the wealth of your daddy's emerald empire, buying companies started by visionaries and pretending to be the visionary, yourself - right, Elon Musk?

Or it means feasting off the military industrial complex in dc.

DMV is s left leaning area. So I’d imagine that the GOP Indian-American candidates make DMV voters queasy, including the strong majority of Indian-American voters in the DMV.

Why? I am glad that the Indian Americans are running. I will not be voting for them because I lean democratic (and more so after Dobbs). But that these candidates are putting themselves out there and trying is something to be pleased about. If nothing else, it won’t be a story when my son runs for president in 25 years 😀.

Why would it? I’m not voting for anyone based on their ancestry. Never have. Also never voting for another Republican until they get their shit in order.

It’s not even a “story” now.

He was also a condescending ass when talking to Katilan Collins on cnn the other day. Based on the clip I saw of him and this subsequent article, I’ll never vote for him.
