You're very lucky OP. I don't know many SMEs who make $500K.
An attribute of a successful person is someone who just "gets it." Most successful people figure out the game very quickly, and they know how to play it. |

Agree. I can walk into an office (consultant) and within a day know who will get promoted and who won't. This is just be observing body language, how the person speaks, and how they carry themselves in general. If the big cheese is wearing an off-white shirt, they also do, etc. They start using the same cliches as the boss and they look like they are analyzing and seeing right through you to figure out how to manipulate and look good-think the Jared Kushner persona. They are ALWAYS political. Once worked at a place where how your wife and kids where dressed and acted at the company picnic was a key for future promotions. |
