lol I’m from Brazil and this is also how we celebrate. My friends from Mexico and Peru also do this. It’s a common thing in Latin America and the diaspora. I know people whose families came here generations ago who still keep these traditions. Believe it or not, these traditions are pretty ubiquitous even in the United States. |

We do Chinese food always for Christmas eve (and no we are not Jewish)
for Christmas day we go all out, caviar on chips for an appetizer, salad, filet Mignon, potato and either shrimp or lobster. Desserts- whatever everyone brings! |

Christmas Day for us starts with a big brunch so dinner is much simpler, typically ham and sides. |
That Ina pasta recipe is a favorite for me. Now that you’ve mentioned it I’m hungry for it— going to make that this weekend when we get back home. It freezes beautifully, too. |
