Have you cut back on eating out due to the rising cost?

Yes, I've definitely cut back. I didn't eat out much before, but now I can no longer justify the cost. For nights that I don't have time to cook, I've resorted to some frozen meals, which isn't ideal, but it's the best I can do some days.

The bs 5% COVID recovery fee last week did it for me. No more eating out.

Yes, we rarely even get take out anymore.

I've lost 7 pounds, and saved money.

I buy Costco pizza because I refuse to pay like $47 for an and eight slice pie. I just doctor slices with whatever I have in house and put them under broiler- drizzle a little olive oil, sautéed spinach or mustard greens, leftover roasted vegetables, marinated artichokes or olives, finish with Parmesan. My husband eats it as is- plain pepperoni. Sometimes I will top with a field greens salad a la California Pizza Company.

No, because we weren't eating out much at all. Once every month, take-out.

Yes. We cut back on carry out, never go to restaurants anymore.

We even cut back on weekly grocery shops. I no longer go once a week and fill my cart. Instead, I shop from local meat distributors and do little shops here and there as needed.

Yes, especially on take out. The final straw for me is restaurants adding a 20% service charge and then adding a tip button that starts at 20%, usually at restaurants that have you order everything by QR code so there’s no actual service. Nope.

Then go to a restaurant and don’t pay delivery fees.

Are we the only people who don’t use Doordash or Uber Eats?

I never use those delivery services, I have no desire to pay top dollar plus tip for food that was prepared an hour ago and kept warm in a bag. If I do want to order out but eat in I go pick it up myself.

Unfortunately yes. We used to eat out a lot and get a lot of take out. Many times the food was mediocre anyway, but I am sad about some of my favorite places and worried they won’t survive.

You are not alone. We I have only every used Uber eats once- kid forgot to bring his lunch to camp and I was already far away ar work, lol.

If we order take out we pick it up ourselves. I hate wasting money on delivery services and restaurant lose money when you use these services too.

I pick up my own orders too. After my last 5 orders from different places all got messed up as in missing food, completely wrong order. I don't blame the delivery people, it's easier for me to go in person, check, and sort it out.

Yes. Quit Starbucks too. Smallest drip coffee for $3, smallest latte for $5? Give me a break. The fact their employees have gotten grosser and grosser and less professional made it that much easier. Don’t miss it at all.
