The Trappists in Kentucky make one. But their fruitcakes are a little heavy on the bourbon.

| I am going to Costco tomorrow and will get one. |
| This thread has inspired me to make my own fruitcake. I just ordered the supplies today. |
Did you get suet? That's my secret ingredient |
Hers had raisins, cherries and nuts. No citron. SO good. |
No, we’re a vegetarian household. |
I always wondered what are the florescent green things in fruit cake? |
| Yes. All the fruitcake family. I especially love a Dundee cake, with a thick layer of marzipan and royal icing. |
NP. This is the only kind I can eat. We received one from my grandmother every Christmas, and after she died, my aunt. Now everyone is dead, so no more fruitcake for me. |
Thanks. I’m going to order one from them |
Have you tried stuff from them? The stollen looks good |
| I regularly pick up Claxton fruitcakes during holiday season from The Comissary. |
| I like the little brick ones with the red paper around it, leave it uncovered to make it dry out more. |
I have friends who are vegetarians for environmental reasons that make an exception for suet. It's so much less environmental impact to use suet, which will otherwise be thrown out, rather than an oil that has to be processed and shipped from afar. |

Don't like fruitcake, but I ADORE a christmas pudding (aka plum pudding).
My kids give it the side eye, but I will eat the whole damn thing myself. |
