Am I the only person who buys Fruit Cakes to snack on?

They are in stores now and I buy a few each week until they are gone. I really enjoy them, I can't be the only one.

Anyone?

You're the only one keeping that business alive.

I do. I love them.

Never tried one. I don't like cooked fruit or fruit pieces in my baked goods.

Stores wouldn't stock them if you were the only one. Plenty of people like them.

Yes. The success of the industry rests on your shoulders, OP. Glad to see you can step up to the plate (so to speak).

I have always wondered what lunatics are buying those nasty things. 🤣

Enjoy, OP!

It’s a very small group. The only fruitcake I’ll eat is from the CollinStreet Bakery, and pretty much only during the week or so around Christmas.

Same ones that buy Panettones. Fruit cake disguised as Italian bread. Suckers!

Apple pie? Blueberry muffins? Cherry clafoutis? Marian Burros's plum torte? Nothing?

I like Panettones. I assumed that was fruitcake. Is fruitcake something else?

I don't buy it every year. Maybe every other year. I'm not contributing to health of the fruitcake industry with my paltry purchases.

OP, are you 85 years old?
