CDS numbers are 54% for ED 1 and ED 2 combined

+1 exactly what I was thinking

Very white, bro-culture

But it sounds like that is what OP wants

I chose Wake in the end, but Bucknell was such a gorgeous setting. It snowed the day I visited, and it was just picturesque, the way the campus flowed nicely into the cute little town.

Bucknell and Wakes campus don’t look anything alike

Not exactly, but I think they have a similar vibe. And as I said, the same architect designed them.

I went to Wake in the end and the campus was so lovely. I felt so lucky to go to school there. And no lie, I was influenced heavily by the fact that it was 60 the morning of our tour and snowed back home (end of a particularly harsh winter)

But I still have good memories of my day at Bucknell

Anyone else annoyed by the expression "hidden gem". Almost as bad as describing/seeking a school that is "nurturing".

I think it depends where you live. I am in MA and in our area, it is thought of as the school all the rich, white kids go to party when they can't get in anywhere better.

Are a lot of Bucknell students heavily involved in Greek Life? We were considering it for my theater living artsy fighter but she isn’t into a big Greek scene.

Thanks.

It’s a pretty high number, google says 50 percent of eligible students.

It’s not hidden - tons of people know it’s a back up to t20s and t10 lacs if you abhor going to a state school and love to drink

Nothing hidden about Lehigh and bucknell

Really? I’ve never heard this about Bucknell.

UNIGO will have student survey results for each school, addressing this topic.

A group of us had a supervised visit on a Friday night with a group of “well behaved” prisoners. Further north (about 20 miles?) is a “farm” for white collar criminals, Allenwood.

They do - they have gotten awards for them.

they call them farms in PA? I know they were called "camps" in TX

Bucknell is the best for rich white kids that want to drink, party, and crush the social scene. At the end of the day, if you are trying to get an education and succeed beyond a financial hand job and deals on Wall Steet for sub par dipshits than Bucknell is for your. FFS, even the name is garish.

that actually sounds a lot like UVA, although maybe with more asian students
