If you trust the All-State teams from last season, there were two first team and one second team All-State 2024s (Madison attack, Battlefield middie, and Madison LSM).

There's some politics in the All-State selection process but all three are very good players.

Yep, Marquette attack graduated and St Johns FO transferred to Madison

Robo had 3; the other fogo was a '22 who went to Manhattan.

Random local coach's thoughts:

1) Madison: Bring back most O, Robo fogo transfer allows their poles to be on the wing more to excel between the lines. Can new close and goalie step up?
2) Lake Braddock: Penn State mid may be the best player in the state, DI attack and pole also very good. Can the D unit continue to grow as a unit?
3) Battlefield: Patriot will be down this season, should cruise to the state final. 24 mid is very good. Will they be able to play enough good games to prepare for whoever comes out of the North?
4) Robinson: LSM very good, Coach Curran should surprise with this group. Would not count them out.
5) Yorktown: Graduated entire defense, leading scorer is back along with DI mid and SSDM along with good keeper. Can new pieces on D step up for a traditionally strong D unit?
6) Langley: Outside of their fogo last year, best players were sophs. Can they make the leap and overtake Yorktown once more?
7) Centreville: Played way better by the end of the year. Coach Miller loves loading up the midfield with athletes and let them run. Can they replace their goalie?
8) Patriot: All-State mid returns, but will be hard to replace that massive senior class. Who steps up?

There seems to be a drop off from top 8 but Oakton/South Lakes/McLean/Freedom in some order would round out a top 10.

Patriot had 2 D1 commits - the Rutgers A commit and the Richmond D/LSM. The Pole was the best player in the Region for 3 years.

I wouldn't trust the politics of the All-State teams, the Battlefield Goalie and Patriot Goalie were probably the best 2 in the state. Patriot 2025 goalie is legit. Madison has excellent 24's as does Freedom South Riding.

Being 1st team All-Region is a requirement for All-State consideration.

Not the best on his club team. The best in this area in a long time will be playing at SJC this season
