So there is still homework. Just shorter max time. |
And with idle block schedule time and phoenix time there is little chance of it coming home unless student blows it off. |
That's a recommended time. Majority of my kids classes said there's no ASSIGNED homework, just assignments that they may have to finish at home. |
So, they're just renaming what used to be classwork and now calling it homework. |
Some classes definitely still have both “classwork” and “homework”. |
It’s still the start of the year and they are letting kids settle in. They will have less time during class as the year progresses and they get more into material. Especially in 8th. |
So who at DHMS supposedly said there is “no homework”? A teacher for a particular subject? |
The question is whether that holds this year (under the new policy) as it has in the past. |
lady, you keep asking but doesn’t sound like anyone wants to answer lol. |
The only difference is there is less max homework per class. Not no homework. They weren’t doing max before so it doesn’t seem like much will change. My kid has already had homework assigned this year that he had to do at home. And they haven’t even gotten started on the main material. Or the iPad apps, etc. |
Yes, because it’s BS. |
Are you an administrator who's upset at something a staff member said? Or a busy body parent? |
Someone with a low tolerance for BS. Does the BTSN PP even have a kid at DHMS? Maybe she misunderstood the message. Maybe it's just for one class that naturally doesn't have a lot of homework. Or maybe she is trying to push a false narrative. The lack of explanation is telling. |
