I don't think Britney is insane. I can't imagine what she's been through her entire life. She's like a girl who's been trafficked, but publicly. Can you imagine being told what to do, how to perform, when to engage, like a circus animal for her entire life? I can absolutely see how it went from her wanting to step back from music and raise a family to losing complete control of her life because the people in her family do not want to lose out on the $$ she brings in. I think she sounds pretty articulate in these messages she's released. I think she's incredibly hurt that her sons don't engage with her and would rather be with their crappy dad. I don't have too much opinions on Sam. I think he's obviously in it for the free ride as well, but if he's respectful to her and wants her to be her own person, then he's ok.

I understand she is hurt and has an immense about of baggage and trauma from what she has been through. But, as a parent, I believe you are supposed to be the safe place where kids can deposit their sadness and fear without being attacked. How many teenage kids have been horribly ungrateful, taken out their stresses on their parents, blamed their parents for what is going wrong in their life? The problem here is that she thinks her kids should be taking care of her equally to her taking care of them. In her last post, she literally says they owe her unconditional love, when actually it's the reverse. She tells them she failed as a parent because they believe and love their grandparents. It's toxic and abusive parenting - maybe borne from her trauma but still.

I agree with the PP, but in this case, I think Britney is not the brightest. It could be IQ, it could just be that her own parents clearly prioritized her career over her education and raising her from a young age. And that in turn means she has no idea what a good parent is. I’d say she’s a stratosphere away from the highly educated parents of DCUM who consult experts and read books about everything. Her parents screwed her over in so many ways, and unfortunately it continues to the next generation. I also thin kKFed is a scumbag and is more worried about making as much $$$ as he can than really caring about the kids. If he did, he would have t a stop to the public back and forth at the beginning and tried to handle it out of the spotlight. I feel for the kids. And for Britney - I hope she seeks therapy or counseling to get the life she wants

Has anyone considered that she has not been able to freely parent her kids for 13 years. That would be challenging for anyone to step into the role.

Her kid said she deserved to be in a conservatorship, which is a pretty sh!tty thing to say. Especially when the ACLU came out and said it was damaging.

I don't think people understand, or even care to understand, how a conservatorship can stunt someone's development. Having autonomy is considered a basic need. When you don't have it people wither.

It's good she's speaking out. It may not be perfect, and she'll make mistakes like any parent. Unless you are her therapist, you cannot diagnose her. You have no idea.
