That’s insane. This has no benefit to the kids to wait 8 months for results. Example: I had my son repeat algebra after 7th grade since I was concerned he missed content during remote learning. Turned out he got a high MCAP algebra score (unlike 95% of his classmates). If I had known earlier I would have let him move on to Geometry! |
| MCAP IS PARCC! Both tests made by the same company. Look at the PARCC vs MCAP websites. They are the EXACT same because both tests are made by Pearson. Shocker number 2… the MD math standards are still the Common Core standards. Don’t believe it, do a quick Google search. |
Pearson is an enormous testing company. Is the American College of Healthcare Executives exam the same as the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners exam because they're both delivered by Pearson? |

Bump.
Its November.. still no news. Maybe the scores are so bad they got rid of them |
| I thought they said they wouldn’t come out until January |
but it's almost January, and MCPS has once again failed us! I blame the board of education and McKnight. It's all their fault!!! |
Why so long? How can it possibly take that long to figure out the scores? |
They have nothing to do with it. It is a state test. |
| Meh, my kids didn't take it. |
| Has anyone got them yet? Specifically anyone with current 8th graders? |
|
I took some of the PARCC 7th grade english questions. If they are just reusing the same standards/questions for MCAP then they are extremely hard! I bet most seniors wouldn’t do well in them. No surprise the scores are bad. It is one of the reasons states ran away from common corer.

| No scores here for 4th grade |
| We received the science MCAP results for both our current 6th grader and 9th grader. No math results. |
Do 7th graders take science MCAP? I wasn’t aware of that. |
Just 5th and 8th graders do |
