Lexus = Toyota with slightly nicer interior
Infiniti = Nissan with slightly nicer interior
Audi = Volkswagen with slightly nicer interior
Cadillac = Chevrolet with slightly nicer interior
Lincoln = Ford with slightly nicer interior
Genesis = Hyundai with slightly nicer interior

So glad you said this. I don’t view these as luxury cars either.

While I admire your attempt to be clever, if you know anything about cars, the Lexus, Audi, and Genesis comparisons aren't really true. Lexus may have a few models that share the chassis with Toyota, but its a completely different vehicle. There are many SUVs and rear wheel drive sedans and coupes that have nothing in common with Toyota. And if you have actually spent any tine between the two brands, the highest trim Toyota still feels spartan to the Lexus interior. Same goes with Audi, all of the Audi's have all wheel drive while most of the VW economy cars do not. The interiors and features between those two brands aren't close either and the Audi has a much better driving experience. Lastly, Genesis is its own luxury sub-brand with rear wheel drive sport sedans vs the Hyundai's basic transportation which don't have anything in common other than the parent company.

Camry and ES350 share the same platform, engine, transmission and other mechanicals. Suspension tuning is different on F-Sport, a $12000 package, but it’s no BMW. Lexus interiors are very nice but enough to justify the price premium? People don’t judge you if you drop off your kids in a Camry.

Don't put a smelly, butt licking dog in a luxury car.

That leaves us with?

Mercedes-Benz
Tesla
BMW
Porsche
Lamborghini
Ferrari
Land Rover
Jaguar
Rolls-Royce
Bugatti
Aston Martin
Volvo?

You left off Cadillac. In 2012 I bought a 2011 CTS that was 18 months old. It had been problem free for 10 years. I just bought a new car for myself and my daughter took it to college.

The top top top of line Cadillac is they have a new handbuilt one that cost $300k and Escalades are $100k. My CTS is the base model zero option rear wheel drive version. But still pretty fancy as even a zero option Cadillac has a lot.

The Cadillac downside next to other uses luxury cars is depreciation. But in used car market depreciation is your best friend. Plus if you want a non SUV Cadillac still sells cars

Got CPO Mercedes coming off a 2 year lease w/ less that 20k miles and still under warranty - has never given us any problems.

I can’t believe we’re quibbling over luxury cars, how idiotic, but since we’re here… Tesla is for sure not luxury!
