Looking for podcast suggestions for looooong drive

Thank you to the people who recommended You’re Wrong About. I’m obsessed. I started listening in order, then skipped ahead to topics I really wanted to know more about. Then I did the DC Snipers deep dive. (OMG what a crazy story and statement on how we treat domestic abuse as a society!) Then I listened to the Shaken Baby Syndrome episode as a palate cleanser (during which my sister called to say she’s pregnant, which was weird but awesome). Now I’m listening to the OJ Simpson Trial deep dive episodes. I’ve made it to the Kato episode.

I’m not allowed to talk about podcasts or the 90s with DH anymore. Something about not wanting to enable my obsession. I’m on the west coast and they’re (she’s?) doing a tour next month so I’m trying to find someone to go see the show with me. Sadly, most of my friends are responsible adults with jobs and don’t want to go see an 8:00 Thursday night show. I might just go alone.

Yes, this is one of the best ones I've ever heard.

Also Broken Harts (true crime, family drama)

I was one of them and you’re so welcome! The DC Snipers episodes and a few others are most impressive to me because they were on topics that I (thought I) knew a LOT about and the research they did was incredible and how they told the story was fascinating.

I know! I want to read the Paula Barbieri and Faye books now, but there aren't enough hours in the day. I love how they tell the story so everyone is interesting. They even had a side conversation at one point about how no one is really boring, there's always something there. I've always felt that way. My husband always gets annoyed because I'll talk to strangers and find out something unusual about them. It's to help me remember who people are, sort of like mnemonic devices for people. I'll stop when people seem scary or if I ever find a boring person. Some people do boring things, but everyone has an interesting story. I love how Sarah and Mike find it and the way they share it.

I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! I too love how well researched each episode is (especially Mike’s, with his 4 part structures, lol!). I often re-listen to episodes because I want to absorb it all but also because I love their rapport!
