"Bad manners" is you judging me by your standards. Hypocrisy much?

DH and I aren’t asking for help. We work hard for what we have and haven’t received a dime from either of our families since the moment we went to college. Paid our own way through college, grad school, and for everything since then. My parents are the ones asking for the handout, after having already received a substantial one two decades ago. |
Everything could be possible but not the subsidies housing. The wait for anyone new looking for section 8/subsidized housing is so long that it is not worth it. |

"How so?" "Please explain" "How do you mean". Come on... stop feeding this troll. |
He can switch nursing homes if he can find one to take him with medicaid. |

yes, you should absolutely apply for every benefit that you can.
I work in the greater Medicaid world--there is so much overhead, fraud, etc. By no means should any one family try to save the system money by taking a higher ground. There are about a zillion businesses making a LOT of money in the Medicaid insurance machine. It's insanity how much money there is to be made. As a taxpayer (or child to a taxpayer), do not feel badly for one minute for accessing the benefits that society has put in place. Likewise, the $200/month you are saving taxpayers per month in not applying your parents for food stamps is infinitesimal in the greater picture of things. Just apply. |
