NVSL All Stars - how do we know?

All division results posted with the exception of divisions 1 & 3

I asked. There were mistakes found on time cards. Those had to be fixed. Prior to the results being posted additional mistakes were found and reported (during team awards ceremonies for example), so those too have to be figured out an and corrected.

As a PP mentioned, the psych is up.

This seems strange. How would these corrections happen after the fact? Is someone (or a group of people) verifying the time cards (again) after the divisional meet ends? Is this in just one particular division or are you suggesting it was the case throughout the divisions?

everything is up now

still have no idea what took so long. I can't imagine anything changed from when Div coordinators told teams results until today at 2pm

I posted earlier. I know that in the past, one individual was responsible for posting all the results. That person moved and is no longer doing it. I believe they give each division coordinator time to notify all their swimmers. Whoever is now responsible for uploading the results is a VOLUNTEER. They are not paid to post the results. Maybe they went to church this morning. Maybe they had a work emergency.

They were verified at the end of the meets. Then last night they were looked at again (I think they checked the top 40 for each event). Last night’s process found X number of time card mistakes. After that process the results were pretty much ready to be published, but then a few more came in from teams who asked for time cards to be pulled and reviewed.

That’s how I understand it from some who are involved in the process.

DP. Thanks for sharing—I had no idea. that takes time and it makes sense. I imagine the point of telling team reps the cuts before publishing results gives them the opportunity and time to ask for cards to be checked. I know it’s exciting to announce all-stars on Saturday night, but it’s probably up to individual reps discretion to announce preliminary cuts before they are officially published. I bet some reps wait to avoid any drama if things change after review. If parents knew how involved this process was, they’d be patient. Instead they take it for granted that it’s just a simple matter of clicking a button. The all stars psych sheet and divisional results were published pretty simultaneously today.

Now if only we could get the updated psych sheets. They usually put it out every day.

My recollection is that scratches are compiled each night. The first revision will be painfully slow, with so many scratches from top 15-18s who are at club meets this week (as I understand it, there are at least 3 large national meets this coming weekend).

I was thinking the exact same thing!

Is this because you have a swimmer who did not make it but is close to the cutoff?

Yes, they usually post each evening but didn't post one Sunday night.

I did notice that they mentioned still putting original list along with those who scratch inn the program, hopefully this encourages people to scratch early vs waiting until after the program deadline just to get their name in the program.

No scratches posted yesterday and I’m starting to doubt we will get any today.

Team rep should have scratch list and new psych sheet. Or Div coordinator sent it to us a few hours ago.

Hopefully they will post it online soon.
