I was a middle class farm girl from Wisconsin working in a college bar to make ends meet. He was a mysterious European looking for girls gone wild. We hooked up after I took him home for Thanksgiving. Turns out he was the crown prince of Denmark. Copenhagen is cool, but I still miss the Dairy State.

I think I saw a documentary about your life on the Hallmark channel last Christmas...

I met him through my younger sister’s BF. At first I thought he was a stuck-up ass, and was pretty cold and distant. He was apparently really into that, and so was willing to put up with a lot of craziness from my family and friends. He even helped get another of my sisters out of a really messy relationship. (This was all pre-Roe, so it could have been ruinous.) Luckily, his little sister is sweet and he has piles of money we can use on a security system to keep my mom away.

I worked as a welder in a Pittsburgh steel mill by day, and moonlit as an exotic dancer by night. What I loved to do was dance, dance, dance and my dream was to attend a classy AF ballet school.

My dancing and impeccable bod caught the eye of an incredibly handsome customer at the bar also happened to be my boss at the steel mill - what are the odds huh?

To work off my angst, I would just put on music and dance around my funky 10,000 SF warehouse. Hey it's Pittsburgh, not the West Village.

I met my husband in college. “Accidentally” transferred to the same school as him, “accidentally” chose the same dorm and “accidentally” selected a lot of the same friends and classes.

Had to wait 10 years for him to propose and by now he’s lost most of his hair and good looks, but every time I tell my staff to deal with the credit card bills, I know it’s worth it. Plus he’ll inherit the family firm. Well, once his grandma dies. And his dad.

I was a dance instructor at a resort in the Catskills and fell in love with one of the guests. Her dad forbade us to be together, but our love was true and we performed an amazing dance routine for the whole resort. I got fired and she went off to college.

The ones I recognized were:

Cinderella
Pretty Woman
Maid in Manhattan
Beverly Hillbillies
Notting Hill
An Officer and a Gentleman
Titanic
Jane Eyre
The Prince & Me (had to look that up)
Flashdance
Dirty Dancing

I know I missed some, or some of you have had very strange lives.

I was a poor child in rural Europe, but began going to the gym and taking steroids. I won some bodybuilding contents, immigrated to America, and started making movies. Then I met and married an American princess. Then I had an illegitimate child with the maid and threw it all away.

I was an immigrant from Slovenia working as a fashion model and doing some fashion lines. In New York I met a businessman/celebrity and married him, we had a son together. Then I supported his political career, hosting many events and designing all the Christmas decorations. We are retired now, and I worry for my husband's health and wonder if our marriage is as strong as it once was. I think he was happier when he still had his job.
