In all seriousness? My parents were a teacher and a factory worker in rural Ohio. I worked my butt off to be top of my class in HS and get scholarships to a Top50 university. I became friends with kids who went to private school or boarding school and learned how to fit in. I joined a large, well known consulting firm where knowing how to navigate a client dinner or a charity golf outing advances your career. My undergrad roommate introduced me to my now husband. By the time we met, I had established a solid career path and was successful on my own.

I met him when he bought my parent's farm in our town. He sort of took them for a ride but I didn't care because they were rubes and I figured I could snag him. I did. Then I made him so miserable, he went to live in Mexico. Then he blew his brains out and I got all his money and now own half the damn town.

Stop ruining a great thread with your lame humblebragging.

I was an orphan ice harvester who ran across this crazy underdressed young woman in the woods when it was very cold and helped her make her way home where her boyfriend was waiting - but it turns out he wasn't her boyfriend and he was trying to kill her! Thank goodness her sister and I found her in time.

DH was a young man who had signed up for Navy Aviation Officer Candidate School. He was a Navy brat who had a bad attitude problem, and his sergeant who was there to train and evaluate him, found him wanting. He was really struggling with what to do with his life. I had little beyond family, and my friends and I were local girls who dreamt of marrying a Naval Aviator. DH and his fellow Naval Aviation Officer candidate Sid Worley met my friend Lynette and me at a Navy Ball, where DH and I hit it off. Long story short, he ultimately became an ensign and decided he couldn't live without me, so he sought me out at the factory where I worked, and walked out with me in his arms to the applause and cheers of my co-workers, including my BFF Lynette.

He was from basically the richest and most powerful family from up north. I was a bit feral and lived in a much more rural and poorer part of the region. There was basically a ‘wall’ between us. Even though there was a lot of fighting and arguing between people, we met and actually spent a night camping. He really liked my red hair.

I was just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her.
