What's your most controversial food opinion?

Why is it crazy?

Many people who give up meat do it for ethical reasons, not because they don't like meat.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with vegetarians eating meat substitutes. There's nothing inherently unethical about the concept of a nugget that would make eating a vegetarian version hypocritical.

If the nuggets are made from a vegetable, great! Some of these foods are all chemicals. No bueno.

It's one thing to not like a few things here and there.

But "picky eating" is caused by shitty parenting 99% of the time.

Secondary to that: Chick-fil-a isn't that good. It's fine, sure, but everyone acts like it's the best chicken sandwich invented. I think all the chicken there tastes like the oil they use.

I agree with both of these.

My controversial food opinion is that there is no such thing as "eating clean."

Disagree...water only for beverage and fresh/raw fruits and veggies seems clean to me. Why wouldn't this be considered "clean"?

If you think of fruit as a "treat" and think carbs are something to be limited or make you gain weight, and you're not a diabetic, then you have an eating disorder.

That Fair Life Milk is just a marketing ploy to get you to spend more on milk.

Agree with the non-bold but Fair Life is actually delicious. We don't use milk for much aside from putting it in iced coffee. Fair Life's whole milk is spectacular.

Most food safety practices are way more conservative than necessary.

DP, and because the opposite of eating clean is eating dirty. Dirt has minerals.

Stop moralizing about food.

+1000
Also if you do things like weigh/measure a scoop of blueberries or count out 5 almonds.

I hate drinking milk, always have hated since being a kid. Happy to get calcium through cheese.

I hate really rich sweets like Cheesecake Factory desserts.

I think prime rib is too fatty and it grosses me out. I love tenderloin, short ribs, hamburger etc

I can’t drink non diet soda, it tastes too sugary.

I dislike truffle.

I don’t like Mac n cheese.

I agree with all your bolded but especially your point about drinking milk. I might put a splash in some coffee, but otherwise I think we get plenty of calcium from other sources without drinking milk. I'll take it a step further and say I think Americans drink too much milk and that's just been pushed by the dairy lobby. I read things here where people say their family of 4 goes through a gallon plus a day and think that's just disgusting.

A milkshake in a disposable cup should not ever cost $10. Nope, never. Not then either.

Every traditional Thanksgiving dish is either flavorless, gross, or too sweet (pecan pie).
Fortunately, there are some new, less traditional dishes that are acceptable on a Thanksgiving spread and less flavorless/gross/overly sweet.

If you equate limiting carbs to having an eating disorder, your relationship to food is probably disordered too.

Just because we can, doesn't mean we should.

Leave the cows milk to the calves!!

Should we just live on breast milk for our entire lives? Literally nothing we eat was meant for human consumption.

Totally love Fair Life milk and happy to spend the extra money! I don't really understand what it is -- filtered milk (??) with MORE protein and vitamins? wth? -- but I like it.
