Yes. My body, my choice. If I choose not to carry a baby for whatever reason, then yes. If I choose to use my eggs and someone else's sperm in another consenting adult's uterus, yes. I don't understand how this is a large leap from the abortion debate.

+1. No one on this thread knows anything about Khloe's health and her reasoning behind making this decision, nor her surrogate's reasons for deciding to carry the baby. And it doesn't matter. I find it way more disturbing how many (usually white UMC) women are ready to jump in and patronize other women who choose to carry a pregnancy for another woman by assuming they're being exploited and are too stupid to make their own choices about what they do with their own bodies. The whole thing smacks of Anthony Kennedy's musings about how abortion should be made illegal because "the woman might regret it someday." Knock it off, lady.

They are being exploited, but so is anyone who takes a dangerous job for the money. That's capitalism baby

She’s been very open about her fertility struggles so I really can’t even imagine why everyone is assuming she just didn’t want to be pregnant. She was trying to get pregnant for YEARS.

Back in late 2003/2004, as a civilian federal employee, I took a detail to work in Iraq because it paid a LOT of money. I exploited that opportunity but, while it was dangerous, the federal government was not exploiting me.

In the same sense, an appropriately compensated surrogate is also exploiting an opportunity. She is not, necessarily, being exploited herself.

Capitalism isn't necessarily the dirty word you think it is.

When Khloé found out that Tristan had cheated on her by fathering another child w/another person, Khloé must have been so much more devastated than we originally thought.

Perhaps she wanted her kids to have the same Father.
But I feel having a second child w/him is just tying herself into more heartache.

He will always be hurting + humiliating her.

And I feel bad for his other child, the one born in Dec.
The fact that he told the Mom that he would not be in that child’s life is so sad.

The child is 💯% innocent in how he was conceived.
Tristan should acknowledge this.
For him to be actively engaged in the lives of his three other children while his son w/his mistress is totally ignored is not fair to the child.

That child deserves a loving Father in his life.
I cannot imagine the pain of seeing my own Dad a loving parent to his other kids, yet ignoring me completely.

I can’t imagine using a child as a meal ticket and intentionally bringing a child into this world whose father has said he will not acknowledge and emotionally support my child. I find it very interesting that they put it out there that the baby was conceived in November. I have never heard anyone say that as part of birth / pending birth announcement. She is trying to save face for the December scandal, but I just find it weird. And is conceived even the right word in this type of pregnancy?
