Coffee Drinkers, Come in: K-Cups or Ground?

Anonymous
I’m the only coffee drinker at home so I use Trader Joe’s Instant Colombian Coffee and Cold Brew concentrate. I like both hot and cold coffee with some half and half and sugar.

Works for me and so much cheaper than Dunkin or Starbucks.

I have used my pour-over for many years and it's vastly superior to K-cups, especially when the beans are freshly ground. It is more convenient than French press IMO in terms of cleanup.
However, you could also use a traditional percolator. A small one costs as little as $20 at Target - even now with the prices rising on everything. If the process works for you, you can upgrade to a better coffee maker.

Agreed. We have a refillable k-cup that we use if someone wants one cup. We generally brew by the pot though.

Ground.

For one cup of coffee a day, I'd go ground with an Aeropress or a small French press. If you want to delve deeper, check out James Hoffman's coffee videos on Youtube... it's a fabulous rabbit hole on everything coffee/espresso.

+1
K cups are a LOT of waste to go through each day.

Yup. This is what I do.

I drink instant, and still find his videos interesting. The depth of research is impressive.
