Apparently lots of people are the a holes leaving nothing. |
| I think there are several people who work at fast casual places (Panera, Moe's, Chipotle, etc) that keep bumping this topic to guilt people into tipping workers who are already making more than $12 an hour. Not sure why they think they are entitled to more money than the workers at Chik-fil-A and McDonald's. It seems to be pretty similar work. |
| Yes, please tip. These workers need your money. |
Are you sure that the teens working at Sweet Frogs need additional tips beyond the $10 per hour they are making? My guess is that they already live a pretty comfortable UMC life in the 'burbs. |
Wow. Your head is a weird place to live. |

Not only do I never ever tip for take out, I've actually decreased my tipping for table service just because of the new expectations for tipping everywhere.
I'm not just giving my money away. |
Same. |
I hope the servers begin to recognize you. |
Hmmm. So you are one of these people advocating for tipping workers at Potbelly's at the same rate as one tips at a sit-down restaurant? You do know that the salaries of waiters at table service restaurants (such as Red Robin) significantly differ from the salaries of workers at fast casual establishments (such as Mod Pizza), right? |
+1. |

I hate... HATE when restaurants do this. Especially when the default is set to 20%. I'm picking up a bagel sandwich from a shelf, come on. I may do 10% or $1, but I think that's plenty generous for takeout.
It's the expectation that's nuts. |
