| Tried a new restaurant this time for a to go pickup and at checkout they suggested a 15%, 20% tip. This seemed strange to me since they are just filling my order. I've never encountered this for pickup before at other places. Do you tip if they suggest it? I didn't and now am wondering if they spat in the food. |
| 10% |
| Not much. Maybe 10%. |

If you put the beginning phrase "do you tip" into the DCUM search engine you get approximately 500,000 results.
This topic has been rehashed and beaten to death many times in many ways. Tipping on to go orders has been specifically addressed multiple times. |
| No not this again |
| 10%. |
| Always. Did 20% during covid, now back to 10-15%. |
This. |
| No. Tipping is for table service or delivery. |

Wrong. |
| Tipping is standard for take out/to go orders. I worked as a hostess in college at a few different places and would get tips this way - it was rare to get an order than didn’t include a tip but it happens. I can’t remember the average percent but I think around 10% is fine. I will usually tip 10% or $5 for an order of around $40. |
| Yes $2-5 depending on the order. |
| Never |
+1. That's how I see it. |
