Healthy people living life normally - did you get 2nd booster?

43.

I'm not trying to be cocky. I work with kids 5 days a week, who are germy, maskless, and get right in your face. I go to the gym several days a week, have traveled, eat indoors, am social, and still no covid. It's just my reality. I do however, have a hard reaction to the shots.

Would you get a 2nd booster if you're due?

As someone who is compromised and can't do all this-this sounds crazy to me. You either have amazing luck or an aamzing immune system or are one of the people who got covid and had no symptoms and never knew/and or could have passed it on to someone like me.

NP. Cut out the moral scolding and protect yourself - boosters, Evusheld, whatever is needed. I'm grateful the OP is working with children in person and doing so without a mask. What she does in her private life is nobody's business, and she can't get boosted every couple of months to protect herself (and you) from infection. This is the new world we live in, as the virus isn't going anywhere.

No. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I traveled throughout COVID, worked out, I should have gotten it and didn't. I'm done with the shots.

I don't understand the question because healthy people under a certain age are not even eligible for the second booster. Everyone who has a second booster is either older or unhealhty.

Them doing a booster will not help you as it is not stopping transmission. I’ve basically been home for the past two years as is my family and rarely seeing anyone. No one cares about anyone but themselves so you have to protect yourself. We live in a selfish society who is raising the next generation of selfish kids. My kid does one activity unmasked as they cannot mask and I suspect they brought it home but home test was negative. I was sick for over a month.

I'm 40, husband and I are working in person 5 days a week and have been the whole time. We have 3 kids in school.

Neither one of us are getting another booster.

Not true.

Anonymous wrote:Healthy mid fifties here. DH and I got it. I did it earlier in April because I was traveling. DH got it about a month later. Easy to get, no reactions or side effects.

We’re educated and don’t listen to Tucker Carlson so we aren’t afraid of a booster shot.

You don't have to Tucker, but clearly you would benefit from expanding the range of source from where you get information.

No second booster for me. I had the first booster and I’ve already had covid. 43 years old.

No, was going to but then my daughter brought home COVID so this is my first time infected sadly. I'll get one in the fall/winter.

PP here, DH got 2nd booster and also got it.

No. Didn’t get the first booster either, just 2 Pfizer shots.

I caught Covid a month before I was authorized for a booster.

I was symptomless and only tested because my spouse had it. He only had a very mild “cold” type Covid.

No way am I getting multiple boosters in one year.

I can see getting a yearly one like the flu shot, but every couple months??? No way.

I do work with vaccines.

Do you live under a rock? Seriously. Vaccines prevent serious illness not transmission. How do you not know this?? The only vaccine that matters is yours if you truly are iimmunocompromised.

Have you considered that maybe you’re the selfish one??

Similar experience. I’m not continuing to receive boosters at this point. There doesn’t seem to be an end in sight and at this point, I’d rather save a shot for later on when it is more important to receive one. I get worried about the unknown effects of receiving repeat mRNA shots. I would only continue boosters if I had a medical condition.
