WJ - Senior Prank Gone Bad?

Originally, they were supposed to set up chairs on the football field for graduation, but that didn't happen because the chairs didn't arrive when expected and there were actually too many kids involved to actually give them a task. So they graduated without any repurcussions. The police weren't even called, apparently because administration didn't want them called. I hope the injured janitor is pressing charges, but I've heard that isn't happening either. And we wonder why violence is escalating in schools.

But by all means fear monger about DCC schools, Bethesda parents 🙄

So much unnecessary BS here. If you don't know what happened (talking to you pp who makes alleged claims), you have nothing to say.

Since there are cameras everywhere in every MCPS school, they knew exactly who was there. Parents who's students were there received photos, students received consequences (all of them) from the school. The ones I know, also received consequences at home.

Some kids, not all of the over 100 who showed up, made bad choices. They received consequences for their actions. What more exactly do you want from these kids?

For those who don't think there are cameras everywhere, I spent a year working at an MCPS HS, and MCPS occasionally would call about a group of teens gathering in xx location. It was almost always a teacher who sent the kids out to work in small groups and not a security issue, but MCPS is always watching.

What were the consequences? They were supposed to set up for graduation, and that did not happen. A single student did not walk at graduation.

Clearly this was perpetrated by children from DCC schools because our good w students would never do anything like this.

Just give it up already. Your source is a bad one.

A slap on the wrist maybe.

They all had a consequence that I won't repeat here. Parents were all informed. But by all means, keep on bashing away. And making bad guesses.

Glad to hear it. Sounds like it was handled appropriately.

To be fair W parents love to bash the rest of the MCPS high schools, so when you take such pride in holding up your schools up as a paradigm people will come for you when, as it turns out, your kids are no better than anyone else’s.

I wonder if these are the same WJ kids who keep coming to cabin john to fight 8th graders?

Seniors repeatedly going to middle school to fight 8th graders? Seems unbelievable.

Again more misinformation. It was a large number of students that entered the building yet only a small few who went to cause havoc. The majority came to decorate. There were consequences for students identified.

And for those who assaulted the janitor?

No one was assaulted.

“In the fray, an unnamed member of the building services team was injured, and others were left frustrated, confused and even fearful.”
