Shorts at the symphony??!!

Many symphonies recommend business casual to formalwear on their websites; however, they don't enforce a strict dress code because they want to be inclusive of people who, for whatever reason, may not have the right outfit or know what to wear. That said, showing up in shorts at the symphony makes you look like a rube.

Shorts aren't the new tuxs relative to undies and joggers on the bottom of zoom calls? It was 93 deg. People wearing pants had to leave graduations with their elderly circulation issues.
