I’ve shown it to all my friends and family as “the one” and check frequently in hopes it’s for sale. Zillow’s estimate was less than half that and I’m really disappointed they’re asking so much - way out of my budget. The yard used to be overgrown and it looked like a diamond in the rough, so I was surprised the inside looks great - but it’s still way overpriced. In a normal market, I would have grabbed it right away.
Someone might actually pay it though. It’s in Langley Forest which makes this the most classic, normal sized home in a beautiful little pocket near 123 and CIA. Or some builder will pay it and tear it down to build a 10,000 mansion (which will break my heart)
There aren’t many homes like this in McLean - it’s mostly enormous new builds or 70s ranch houses. This is a gem and I hope no one destroys it. I really wanted it. So sad that it’s finally available and out of my price range.
This sounds like the beginning of Meg Ryan movie. I wish it was in your budget!
