Delusional. Overpriced by $2M.

It's more like overpriced by $2.5M.

PP here - that was my original number, but then I saw the lot size and location.

For 5 you can buy my bigger house on a bigger lot in a nicer neighborhood in DC.

It’s only .34 of an acre, no?

I mean it’s a nice house in a great neighborhood but the price is insane.

it doesn't even look fully renovated. WTF?

Care to wager how many days it stays on the market before they reduce the price? I say after 30 days.

It's not the house.

Is it a double lot?

No. It’s a third of a acre.

There are only 4 bedrooms. Only three upstairs with one bath. This this is way overpriced.

I’ve been wishing that house would go the market for years and even considered writing the owners a letter expressing my interest in buying and preserving it. I’ve shown it to all my friends and family as “the one” and check frequently in hopes it’s for sale. Zillow’s estimate was less than half that and I’m really disappointed they’re asking so much - way out of my budget. The yard used to be overgrown and it looked like a diamond in the rough, so I was surprised the inside looks great - but it’s still way overpriced. In a normal market, I would have grabbed it right away.

Someone might actually pay it though. It’s in Langley Forest which makes this the most classic, normal sized home in a beautiful little pocket near 123 and CIA. Or some builder will pay it and tear it down to build a 10,000 mansion (which will break my heart)

There aren’t many homes like this in McLean - it’s mostly enormous new builds or 70s ranch houses. This is a gem and I hope no one destroys it. I really wanted it. So sad that it’s finally available and out of my price range.

That has to be a record, at $1005 per square foot. I am also one of those who was waiting for this one, thinking it would be a way to get into that neighborhood for under 2.5. What a joke. I truly hope it sits.
