As a Christian AND a sexual assault survivor I am beyond offended by this thread.

I was assaulted by a sinner, a flawed man, not the church or the Bible. Christianity does not "allow" sexual assault. Some Christians might. Just like some atheists might. Or some Muslims might. You can't classify an entire group of people based on the actions or views of a few.

If you want your kids to be safe, take them out of situations that you know are dangerous.

BTW, not to put to fine a point on this, but she was likely 14 or 15 at the time.

...which is younger than consent laws now....

I suppose in sine countries 7 year old girls are married off as commodities and they would consider that the norm. Once they are married the adult male can do as he pleases.
