I wouldn’t over analyze OPs motives, some people just have low tolerance for stupidity (like me) so I get it.
On the other hand I’ve had a mommy brain before so maybe the friend isn’t thinking straight. She may come around at some point.

OP here -

Baby is about a month old now. Mom calls the child "baby" all the time instead of the name. Even when talking to Baby. I think she has some regrets but I'm not bringing it up.

I am happily married and secure in my own life, but PP who said I'm frustrated at my friend's choices overall hit the nail on the head. I think this stupid name is just the cherry on top.
