Move. Next surge has already started.

Kids have nothing to worry about statistically. Worry about drug use and depression.

Adults that are fat, lose weight and exercise every day.

Old people that are scared--wear a mask or isolate.

Thanks for your input, Internet Random Nobody, but we’ll listen to the actual sports, not you.

The PP is absolutely correct. And we have data to support her claims.

https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/covid19/data/case-counts.html#deaths-age

According to data, ZERO kids age 0-16 have died of Covid in Montgomery County. That is a FACT. More kids have died of other causes in the past two years than have died of Covid.

Vaccines and testing are two different issues and vaccines aren't stoping outbreaks/transmission just helping with symptoms and hospitalizations (so there is a benefit to the individual but not others)

I agree with what you are saying.

And so agree that the holder is true. So, why is MCPS requiring the Covid vaccine for teen athletes?

We are very fortunate that our leaders helped ensure our children were safe during the pandemic. Globally millions died to covid so we really should be grateful.

Nah. Our ‘leaders’ threw our kids under the bus.

Our ‘leaders’ closed down schools for way longer than was necessary.
Our ‘leaders’ shut down outdoor playgrounds in MoCo.
Our ‘leaders’ took away outdoor sport leagues for our kids, despite the fact that our kids were perfectly safe outdoors.
Our ‘leaders’ are still making preschoolers mask in some areas.
Our ‘leaders’ are pushing boosters on our teens for no good reason.
Our ‘leaders’ have ignored the mental well-being of our kids for the past two years.

Our leaders have been a disaster when it comes to looking out for our kids.

And globally, millions of kids have not died, fortunately. Kid all over the world have done relatively well with respect to the Covid virus. Not as well thanks to the horrible public health policies that our ‘leaders’ put in place.

There's a 20% chance that's so high! I'd definitely drop out! Oh, wait I guess if there's any doubt they can always do another test.

Indeed, glad we have a high vaxx rate, and that globally, the death rate for children is super low, less than .001%

Yes, exactly. The worldwide death rate has been very low for kids (fortunately).

This is a function of the virus itself. Our dear ‘leaders’ don’t get any credit for that. In fact, our public health leaders and local politicians have mostly viewed kids as an afterthought throughout this pandemic.

Oh yeah? Sure, we should consider ourselves fortunate that our kids were kept out of school buildings for over a year. One of the longest school closures in the country. Thanks for that, I guess?

If they actually have Covid, they should stay home. Any close contact at school who is vaccinated won’t have to quarantine if vaccinated.

Nonsense, it would be far higher if our leaders hadn't taken these steps to stop the spread. Also, children spread it to many who are not as young.

Why is that?

Vaccinated individuals can still catch and transmit Covid. That makes no sense.

The student can be vaccinated but have asymptomatic Covid.

What steps would you say that our leaders took that gags helped our kids age 12 and under these past 2 years?
