Large luxury SUV? |
| Oh please. Women do this all the time with their designer purses, cloths, shoes, etc. |
I have all of that except that my health insurance is HDHP, which allows me to contribute to an HSA, but our medical bills are crazy. |
It’s bragging. The whole point is that you could afford to shop elsewhere but you’re so clever and frugal. That’s why you’re telling people. |
| A family office. |
Some women do. Many, many woman don't care at ALL about "status" things like purses, shoes, clothes, or even their engagement/wedding rings. I buy what I like, not what other people like. |
| Stuff for the house? Nothing. I'm not into fashion (go comfort), I want stuff in the house that we like and is functional, and I don't hang out with people into "status". |

First class airplane tickets. I'm fat and can't figure out how to dress well, so it's the only thing I can do while traveling to not look like I belong at the Dollar Store.
That might sound snotty, but it's actually my incredibly low self-esteem talking. |
| My car and a house in the right zip code. Once you have the right car and zip code you can wear cheap sneakers, jeans, no jewelry and a cloth purse and everyone thinks you’re quirky. |
Sort of this, except just the house, not the car. I drive a minivan. |
I also loved it, Meryl is soo good. |
| Ha, no one here will admit they do this, huh. |
+1 |
Look, if you’re going to buy something for low self-esteem and status it may as well be first class tickets because the experience is glorious. |
| Live simply, so that others may simply live. |
